"I loved most of my teachers and the academics were great. However, the building is falling apart and it would be great if my younger sister would be able to go to a better school than I am going to now. Our sports teams are some of the best in the state, and the school often shows priority to its athletes because of this. Upper Arlington High School is also located in a very safe suburb, which most likely contributes to the feeling of safety surrounding the school."

"Little to no understanding of how the real world works. Propagation of "the bubble". No diversity. Sub-par understanding of anything outside of being rich and white."

"I moved to the Upper Arlington school district last year at the beginning of my freshmen year, and easily to say I haven't had the best experience so far. A few of my teachers are constantly mad over something a student does, and will yell and have a fit when something doesn't go their way. There is very little diversity at the school, so everyone is in a very small bubble here. The worst thing about this school would have to be the faculties, the girls bathroom has broken locks and doors that don't shut. Also there are many leaks and smells that often occur around the school, but the school is so old that it would be expected. So far my favorite thing about Upper Arlington High School are the classes you can take, they have a variety of interesting classes for everyone, and if its not a class it might be a club."

"UA is an awesome school, but it has some flaws. Here's some pros and cons: Pros: - many academic opportunities, including dozens of AP and IB classes - lots of non-academic classes too, like art, shop, lifting, etc. - cool electives like Etymology, 20th Century Irish Lit, Organic Chem, etc. - amazing teachers - open campus for lunch and open campus study halls for seniors - really good sports - lot of school spirit - tons of clubs - nice campus Cons: - very low diversity. 93% White, 6% Asian, >1% other races. 98% Christian, 1% Jewish, 1% Muslim. I'd say 90% have lived in UA their whole life, and over half's parents are alums. - huge emphasis on grades, not learning in most kids. - competitive atmosphere - cliquey - old building and crappy library Other things: - tall average height (almost everyone is of at least part German ancestry, lol) - many Jeeps - lacrosse is big UA will give you a great education but will definitely keep you in a bubble because of the lack of diversity."

"The reason for a high review is mainly because of Community School, the amazing program I was in. It was also partly due to my involvement in the Upper Arlington Marching Band."
