"The sports are great here. They don't really favor the girls team as much as the boys and it's a huge discouragement. They would post pictures of the boys game the same night and the girls not until weeks or even a month later."

"Lorain High school is full of diversity. It is a brand new facility and is nice and clean. They offer CCP courses where kids can work towards college and high school credits at the same time. It is a very large school with many opportunities for minority students. There are also many resources for struggling teens and families who need a little help. Lorain High is known for its basketball and football teams. There are many clubs and activities to be involve in such as key club, ski club, softball, baseball, and lots more. Lorain High is a good school but any school could use a little work. One thing I would change about the school would be the manner in which security officers treat students. At times it can feel as if they are all out to catch you doing something wrong even if you are just walking down the hallway."

"Lorain High school has grown to become the newest in technology school in Lorain County. The school is state of the art. I love the school is constantly promoting community involvement. I would love to see a famous artist of any sort come to the school and perform to draw a big crowd to better advertise the schools ability to provide adequate space for such an event."

"The city of Lorain itself is a very hard one to make it out of. There are a lot of bad influences and you can easily fall into the wrong path. We just had a new school built. It is a lot nicer than our old one but just because there is a new building it doesn't mean that the people in it are any different. Drugs, violence, and crimes are almost overlooked and sometimes it doesn't seem as if the teachers are into it. However, there has been a select few who have helped me greatly. The biggest thing about Lorain School district is to make your own path, and not to follow others."

"We have some good teachers here. i wish coaches would change and the dresscode. the school is more worried about dresscode then they are about the grades. they dont show enough attention to the kids who come to school on time and the kids who never get in trouble. they are only worried about student athletes. i feel like academics are more important than sports. the environment makes you not want to come to school. its hard to learn at school. its a lot of disractions around. sometimes fights get out of hand. they are not motivating kids to go to college or tradeschools. a lot of bullying happens here and i feel like they are not worried about it."
