"I recently graduated from this school in the spring of 2016. I think this school does the best that it can with the resources that it has. Being in a rural community in Appalachia, it does not get all the funding I think it deserves. The faculty are really concerned with your academic success for the most part. The students are really close knit because of the small class sizes, and we have really good school spirit."

"I like the sense of community you get at Southern, because it is a small school. You know everyone, and everyone knows you. If I could change one thing about Southern, it would be the amount of new teaching staff we receive every year. I do not believe that we should not hire new teachers. Our school just loses teachers each year."

"We have great classes. You can take wood shop classes, to band, to art, and to your honors classes. Their schedule works for your classes. The work is tolerable. You'll have work in high school and expect it in college."
