"Crispus Attucks was a school where I had a sense of community. We all felt pride in our school and our accomplishments because we had to work so hard for them. We had to suffer through not having the resources that other students had. Yet, we still had pride in ourselves and the accomplishments of the Class of 2017. We were the first Attucks Basketball team to win state since 1959. We had the first football team since 1985. The girls' basketball team made it past sectionals for the first time since 1983. As well as all of the drama with almost half of our graduating class not being allowed to graduate, because of a school prank. Yet, we all made it out alright, many of us with at least 18 free credit hours from IUPUI or IVY Tech. I can say one thing, Attucks prepared me for all types of people in this world and has given me a family of Tigers to be proud of."

"I like that at Attucks they have scholarships you can apply for and programs where I was able to go on near by colleges like Purdue and IUPUI. What I would like to change is to have more variety of scholarships to apply for all there out my high school years"

"When I first was introduced into high school, I was enticed with the idea of a medical school. You had to go through a whole application process, just like for college. It was everything that I had hoped for, as a sixth grader, in a special school that it was. As the years went by it became more of a public school, in which they let everybody in. Now looking at it from a senior's perspective, it has many problems. There are always fights, possessions of weapons, people in handcuffs, mace, illegal substances, alcohol, and alot of bad attitudes among staff and students. I was proud to be able to graduate from Crispus Attucks, but now I am ashamed and ready to leave."

"Crispus Attucks is one of the best IPS schools. I am a current senior and have attended Crispus Attucks since the sixth grade. Like every school, Crispus Attucks has definitely had its changes over the years but like with any experience. Crispus Attucks is what you make it. I have played in sports all of my highschoool career and has either cheered or attended the basketball games which are always fun."

"I attended this school from seventh grade all the way to graduation. I loved seeing some of my peers grow into the young ladies and men they are now. The school has a very education focused drive. The only thing I would change would be the discipline tactics. They don't seem to be very effective for the younger children which are mostly who needs it."
