"I enjoyed my experience at WTMC. It was a challenge most days, but some days felt like a breeze. It is not the everyday high school experience. Everything is mostly calm and it is a bully-free zone. Teachers part of the high school program make sure that every student is ready to move on. Once students enter their college courses, they are able to learn things in the program that interests them, rather than learning things that are unnecessary."

"I have enjoyed my time at WTMC. The school offers students responsibility, freedom, and opportunity, and pushes them to succeed. The soft skill curriculum readies students for college classes both during and after high school. Additionally, the 80 free college credits are amazingly beneficial for any student's education. Though the lack of sports besides college sports is unfortunate, students can spend their time playing on WTMC's Ultimate Frisbee team, join the robotics team, host their own WCC radio show, and much more. The BASE advisors and teachers are wonderful, caring and helpful."

"My experience at Washtenaw Technical Middle College was pretty good. I would definetly prefer it over a traditional high school. Only thing I would recommend doing is attending a tradition high school for at least a year just to get a little bit of a experience of what a traditional high school is like just because you won't get that experience from WTMC. I do really appreciate the college credits that the school has given me allowing me to have less than three years in college which takes a lot off your shoulders finically."

"I love how your advisors are great help and how you have the opportunity to gain that college experience."

"Before WTMC, I was bullied, I didn't feel like I was being academically challenged, and the culture was very judgmental and "clique" oriented. WTMC is the complete opposite. Even if you belong to a different "group," everyone is kind. We all bond because we all came to WTMC for the same reason--we care about our future. The staff does, too. They all refer to us by name, check in with us, and joke around. I take college courses for college credit, giving me a huge advantage over my traditional peers. I am confident and prepared for secondary education. WTMC prepares students for socialization, academics, and surviving in the real world. It's a nationally ranked school. I'm certain part of the reason I was accepted to an Ivy League was because of the skills WTMC taught me."
