"Bullying is out of control, most of the teachers seemed bothered when asking for help. Social workers don't call back even when the superintendents office asks them to call. There tutor program is a joke, they are more focused on missing school days and tardies than helping the kids academically. It is no wonder that there are so many parents pulling their kids from Southgate Schools. They have extra tutoring during lunch and extra help for freshman which was fantastic help, but once they are 10th, 11th, 12th all of that extra help goes away. Southgate has went way down hill."

"I really like the diversity at Southgate Anderson High School and the the balance between academics and extracurricular activities. I also like the great learning environment, because the staff teaches without intimidation. The one thing I would like to see change is the cleaning staff. Keeping up the maintenance in the school is important. The safety of the students and parents helps bring more students. A clean environment brings out a positivity and students know that the school cares about their learning environment. The students at my school deserve the best."

"There were many good courses offered. However, students who really excelled weren't given as much attention/support as students who struggled. Most of the teachers were kind and helpful. There was a lot of diversity and many students were bilingual. There were a lot of good programs to be involved in like Link Crew, Student Council, etc. The administration was satisfactory, although not very supportive."

"Southgate Anderson High School is a decent school, however the administration is awful. The school does do well in preparing for college, though."

"My experience at Anderson has been one of the best these last four years of atteneding. The teachers and staff are amazing and help the students any way they can. From personal experience I can honestly say I love the way they have helped me get through the rough patches and catch me up if I've missed or helped me understand the cirriculum if I failed to understand it. The clubs are very interactive with the whole school and allows for any individual to join with open arms. There's very little bullying that happens in the school and if there is they handle it well and allow for people to anonymously tell the office that someone is being bullied through the "bully box". If anything could or should be changed it's the facilities that they have for us, including the bathrooms, classrooms, and gymnasium, which are all still very nice, yet could be improved."
