"I joined consortium my ninth grade year. I experienced many troubles during my freshman year but I have overcame those struggles and my experience here has help me grow and develop a great mind."

"i think voyageur is a small community that a young student can learn how to be a friend as well as a student. this school is great for freshman's that have not maturated yet. There are many things the school can build on to produce more college ready students. there is a lot of transcript make up going on, for instance kids that are not advanced."

"Voyageur/Consortium High School is a great school for inner city kids and young adults in Detroit to go to if they want to get ready for college and beyond"

"My first year at this school was truly life changing. I came from such a different environment. The one thing I absolutely loved was how welcoming the students were towards me. Most teachers were just as welcoming. I knew within my first few months there that I wanted to graduate from there. Another thing I love about my school is how college ready we are. They set us up for success. There are a few changes that can be made. . I believe we should have stable and updated laptaops for each English teacher. I also believe that we shouldn't get the same food served at juvenile detention centers. Some students get there only meals from school and they are forced to eat horrible things. I also believe if we have a football team and a track team then we should have a football field and a track. Lastly I believe we should have more electives. As of now all we have is art and gym. So people who transfer may end up taking those classes a few times."

"I first came to Voyageur College Prep in the 9th grade. It was called Consortium at the time. There was really no rules at the time. I am now a senior at Voyageur and we now have a lot of rules. A good thing about Voyageur is that we have classes that helps prepare you for college. I am happy that we have the rules we do because it is really preparing us for a better future."
