"The teachers and academic standards at Grand Haven High School are very good, however there is next to no diversity."

"Mostly, I liked the teachers I got, and the subjects that I (mostly) chose to take. I liked the fact that they allowed us to make a club that so few participated in, and most of the food they serve. However, there isn't much variety to the food they serve, and a lot of the courses are set for you to take, you can't change them. Some more food variety, a bit more choice as to what courses you take, and the facilities could and should be changed or kept up better (as they are often out of service or just plain nasty. specifically the bathroom in the cafeteria is always gross and a sauna). Also, to improve college readiness, perhaps having students that are seniors have to take at least 1 AP class before they graduate would improve that."

"I moved to Grand Haven my junior year of high school. The school is much bigger than my last school. For this reason, there are many more classes offered that a lot of smaller schools may not have to opportunity to take. I think that this school has very good academics. The down side is it is very big and does not have that small town feel. In my last school you new basically everyone. In this school it is completely opposite. Even some of the teachers do not know all the other teachers. Although it is hard fitting in because it is my junior year and most people have established there main friend groups, overall it is a very great school."

"Not extremely diverse, and as one of the smarter kids all classes were easy for me. More challenging course offerings would be nice. Great school culture and safety."

"I liked that Grand Haven has given me the opportunity to thrive and find what I want to do in life. I took several different courses and found out that I would like to go into Finance. The school is very big, so it gives it that small college feel, and I think I will be better prepared for my college transition then others. While I've spent my time at Grand Haven I have had the chance to play baseball for four years. My time on the baseball team has given me my best memories at the school. The high school also invested in our learning by purchasing chrome books which has helped advance my learning. The number one thing Grand Haven has done is that the school pushes me to do better and plan out my future, which is why I don't regret one thing in my high school experience."
