"I like going to CC, mostly. Sports are central to CC's identity. If you do sports, you're cool; if you don't, that's fine, but you better be good at something else to make up for your lack of sports. However, there's definitely a lack of pride in academics. When you ask kids why they went to Catholic Central, the reason is mainly "sports" and almost never "academics." There's no stigma if you academically excel; in fact, you're probably going to be looked up to. But for the most of the student body, I get the vibe that people just don't care about academics because that love of learning hasn't really been fostered. The teachers who are REALLY GOOD at their job mainly teach honors and AP courses, so there's a significant portion of students who don't get an opportunity to even have them. And the teachers who teach that significant portion of students might not be as great, and I don't mean to generalize but it's true. Also, the fine arts department is severely lacking."

"Catholic Central fostered my education and ambitions. Teachers were passionate about making their students successful. I ended up following a career in design, and while Catholic Central did not have the most outstanding program for art, the art teacher went above and beyond to guide my education and ambition in pursuing art and gave me lots of resources to pull from. She even was able to guide me into my first few internships. I felt very supported and cared for during my time at Catholic Central ."

"I liked most of the teachers, they were pretty understanding and I felt well prepared for college. Something's I would change would be to update the bathrooms and secondly offer more of a variety of classes. (Home economics, cooking, woodworking etc.)"

"Catholic Central High School is a place like no other. The tradition that is lived out everyday makes the place a tight knit community. Everything we do at Catholic Central is through God and we continue to thread him into our daily conversations and daily mass. The teachers work overtime to prepare students for not only college, but for life ahead and how to endure struggle."

"Being a person coming from a very small middle school, it was difficult to make friends right away because of the other much larger middle schools that filtered into the school. Many people already knew each other and stayed close to those friends. I came in not knowing anyone and had a difficult time making friends until senior year. Once I found my niche I had a great time. The academics were amazing and I was very well prepared for college."
