"Overall West Senior High is a great school! One change I would like to see is Coaches that have a better understanding of how to coach "all" types of Athletes and not just natural talents. It would be awesome if they would take the time to connect with their athletes one on one if they are not performing up to the coaches standards rather than just take their position away and hope that motivates them to perform better. Coaches need to connect to the "whole" Athlete and need to be better versed on the challenges our young athletes face today. It might be helpful to educate them on things such as anxiety, depression etc. so they are able to be a positive influence in their athletes experience on the team."

"West Senior High has been a great school to spend my high school career. From the teachers to the variety of programs available I have been very pleased with all of my opportunities and options. I believe there is a club or a group or an extracurricular activity for everyone, and not just sports! I have been very involved with the theater program throughout my 4 years and my passion has been supported, encouraged and developed into my ultimate career goal of being an actress. The productions are incredible and I've even had the opportunity to be a director. If I could change one thing about the school, I would break down social barriers for LGBT students. The school has come a long way in supporting this population of kids but I think society in general we could be better at loving everyone."

"West is a great school for the arts programs and even better for sports! I have been a part of the orchestra and musical and it has been so much fun, however some of the academic teachers didn't properly prepare me for AP tests and did not help me learn very much. I think it has a lot of great extracurricular aspects but the material taught could be delivered in a more efficient manner in some cases."

"My daughter received an excellent education at West Senior High, inclusive math, science and liberal arts offerings. The extensive AP offerings and options for early college and dual enrollment at NMC prepared her well for the classes she is now experiencing at university. The teachers were very committed, and the school offered a wide variety of athletic and non-athletic extra-curricular activities. The music program is truly outstanding. Go West!"

"There are a lot of classes to take here, you would not be able to take all of them even if you maxed out your schedule with zero hours. Which, I think, is a good thing, because there are classes for every time of learning styles: AP and honors, regular classes, lots of electives, etc. The workload can be overwhelming if you're taking more than two AP classes at a time, but the counselors let people know that, so if kids are in over their head, they are the ones at fault."
