"Beaver Dam High focuses way to much on its ranking with other schools based off of test scores. You are constantly taking tests, either for class, the school, the county or the state. It takes away from learning time, and you never really get sufficient time to study for said tests, let alone actually learn the material on them. The school also doesn t discipline its students fairly. The student who broke up the fight will get suspended the same amount if not longer then the students who were actually fighting. You can get suspended for back talking a teacher, but not threatening other students. There were students that threatened others with guns, knives, and other weapons, but received minimal consequences. You never really felt one hundred percent safe, knowing that the student that had three notebooks full of death threats against other students in your class, was still walking around in the halls with you."

"Beaver Dam has a very nice education program. The staff is always there for the students and ready to answer any questions one may have. The administration and faculty are all very approachable and kind to the students. The school itself is kind of rough and in need of repairs, but there is a local referendum trying to resolve this issue. In general, the people at the Beaver Dam High School are very friendly and positive. Although we do not have a lot of racial/ ethnic diversity we have a little and the does not seem to be an issue among students. The food provided by Taher Food Services is decent, I would highly recommend the warm cookies offered at lunch."

"FFA really made my high school experience bearable. We had a lot of fun in this organization, and it really helped develop skills that I would use later in life. There are a lot of teachers that support the FFA but there isn't enough funding for the program."

"There are teachers who really put in time and effort in making class fun and engaging for the students. But then there are teachers who really couldn't give a crap about the students and really make class a horror to go to. There are teachers that really care and try to help as much as they can but sometimes its not enough."

"I really enjoy the learning in my school. Teachers care and I learn very easily in my school. The only thing I don't like is the school is falling apart and we need a new school."
