"Hated this school. Too many people, very few of whom were actually thinking about their futures by taking school seriously. I wasn't adequately challenged in most of my classes. The only thing I liked about this school was the competitiveness of its sports. Other than that, the whole four years I attended I was wishing my parents made enough money to send me to Marshall."

"Duluth East High School is an extremely mundane place that is fixated only on sports. Every honor kid is the exact same, only with interchangeable names and sports. It is not the students faults, it is the curriculum that forces every student to think the same."

"This school is great at preparing students for college. The career center is an invaluable resource, there are many AP and CITS course options, and it is easy to get involved in extracurricular activities."

"Coming from a private Catholic elementary/middle school, East was the most diverse place I'd ever been. I was no longer in an almost all-white (I knew of two black students at my prior school and was friends with the only asian I knew of) and religious (it was kind of assumed that all the students were Catholic, though not all actually were) school. At East, there were people who knew what anime was and I know of LGBT+ people there. I consider that to be diverse in comparison to my prior school. (I wrote N/A for sports, because I'm not a sports fan, so I can't accurately rate the sports scene)"

"I'm personally pretty involved at East, so my experience is probably different from someone who isn't in many advanced classes or involved in many activities. I'm taking advantage of the advanced classes, which are naturally more difficult but still very manageable. I've loved my years here and wouldn't want to go anywhere else."
