"I had a very poor experience. I transfered to the school around my junior year. I'm openly gay and at the time I was very open about it, I experienced homophobia, and some minor bullying. Tried to create a GSA the principal never allowed it."

"My overall experience at Harrisburg High School has been absolutely phenomenal, and has best prepared me for college. The principle and teachers at Harrisburg High School are passionate for what they do and are dedicated in helping us achieve. I have noticed that my principle and teachers take it upon themselves to check up on their students and provide one-on-one sessions for those struggling. Aside from the learning aspects of school, I love how much of a positive environment Harrisburg High School is. The students and staff are so friendly here and outside visitors are always impressed by how well behaved we are. Attending this school makes me who I am today, and I couldn't have asked to go to a better school or have better teachers!"

"I liked the mod program that they started when I was a freshman. It was eye-opening, but definitely taught me the importance of self drive and hard work. I like how the teachers push us to be the best student we can be."

"My time at Harrisburg High School has been filled with trying new things and equipping myself for a better future. My grade was the first grade to try a new program called Mass Customized Learning, a learning style where you move at your pace. The bumps in the program still did not taint the education and skills the program gave me. I feel way more prepared for college with this program. It has taught me self-motivation, organization, proper scheduling, and most of all how to use my resources without a teacher holding my hand through everything. I have became very involved in a club called Health Occupation Students of America. Through this club it helped further me in choosing nursing as my final careers choice and getting a lot of exposure to things in health care and science. I also serve in National Honors Society which helps me get involved in helping my school and community. This helped me develop positive characteristics and get involved."

"I enjoyed the fact everything was always clean, lots of activities to do with clubs etc. I would say the main things are some of the teachers could improve their teaching so that all students could understand it, also give as much attention to arts, theatre, FFA etc as they do to football etc."
