"I enjoy learning in a project based environment. The interaction with community partners makes me grow as a person and become a more professional individual. Communicating with my teacher is easy and comfortable, they are an essential part of my day. The principals make an effort to get to know everyone on a personal basis."

"I'll admit, the primary reason I put my name in the drawing for New Tech was because they allowed cell phones and other personal devices, unlike the other schools in my district. What I found when I got there was so much more than that. The teachers really care about your success and you as a person. They put forth their best efforts in teaching you not just the relevant material, but also real world skills, like working with others in a group, how to do public speaking without collapsing from nervousness, and how to produce a final product worth presenting and being proud of. I have met many great people in my time here, and I have had opportunities that wouldn't be there for me if I had gone elsewhere for my education."

"The project based Learning makes for unconventional an environment to learn. But be warned it is not for everyone."

"New Tech was a great school when it first started. I was part of the 2nd graduating class for this school. After a few years, the school got less focused on individual students. I liked how the classes were set up, combination style."

"Being at New Tech High in Sioux Falls has really taught me that a change of pace can be worth it in more ways then me. If your child is not a fan of traditional learning methods, the Project Based Learning environment at New Tech could help them learn to appreciate a learning/working environment better than any other school in the city. Your child will leave this school ready for an ever changing world by being taught how to be a leader, and make it important to be ready for their next chapter in life. New Tech has truly been a wonderful experience."
