"Overall, I had a great time at Niles West. Niles west , located in Skokie is a very diverse school. The schedule flexibility, teachers and advisors are some of the great tools that NW offers. Starting sophomore year, college readiness is implied upon students and it gets intense during junior year. The clubs and organizations also put togehter great events that are fun to attend. Overall, a great school with a safe and fun crowd. I could easily say I had the best 4 years of my life.. some downs, but every good thing has a bad side to it."

"Niles West is a generic public high school, with more diversity. It is a little better than average due to its huge budget for extra-curriculars such as athletics, the independent scientific research program, the extravagant theatre program, etc. It is also one of the most diverse high schools in the entire Midwest. However, where it fails is in bringing its academia to the next level. It s not fully utilizing its resources to teach students everything that they can. Resources such as time, money, and technology are poorly allocated and seemingly wasted. For example, some of the teachers are hired to teach math and sports, but are they qualified at teaching students math? No, they only teach math to save the administration money from spending money on both a coach and a teacher, opting to compensate students' math education. Of course the school has some gems, but the administration needs to spend more money getting better educated teachers to better educate its students"

"I came into Niles West as a Junior after attending a majority white high school, so for me, this school provided a much appreciated culture shock. There are people of all types backgrounds at Niles West, and their culture is maintained and celebrated, no one feels ashamed for who they are. The school is very accepting. There are some problems with the administration and how money is distributed, with so much being spent on the fall sports that many clubs and spring sports fall short on funding. Most teachers there genuinely love what they do and want to help students, want them to succeed. This school may not be up to the best academic caliber, however it does get the job done. The STEM program is phenomenal."

"Really great overall experience with clubs. I think that this school has really enriched my life. Niles West Highschool is a school where the teachers truest care about each and every single one of their students. I would not choose any other school."
