"The teachers I had at the school were amazing, and my experience within the classes were just as great. The school offered many different clubs, and the teachers who host them love what they do. The teachers go above in beyond in their responsibilities for students who request it. They made the academics and clubs at the school great. However, do to some unfortunate events, security has had to tighten up, and student freedom has been limited. in my experience, favoritism among the staff was also an issue, but that seems a little unavoidable. Nevertheless, students complained about the emphasis on the football team that took away from other sports, clubs, and academics. But the school has been pretty generous, keeping many different opportunities open despite financial complications."

"Oswego High School is just like all other high schools. The teachers are great, it is a safe environment and there are many opportunities for students. Guidance counselors are very helpful with college and future planning."

"My experience comes from the perspective of a transfer student. I felt very alone, everyone already had their group established and I did not feel welcomed by the students because they did not seem interested in getting to know the Latina. It was very rough transitioning but the teachers were all incredibly nice and understanding of what I was going through. They helped me a lot, it was the reason I found my group of friends. With my friends I joined the variety of clubs the school had to offer, it's great because if there isn't something for you then you can always create a club. A lot of the students were involved in something within the school either a sport, academic club/team, or a regular fun club. The academics in the school is overall great, I very much felted challenged in my classes -especially since I was a transfer. Although, the beginning was very difficult, it didn't turn out to be so bad in the end, it was an opportunity for me to grow and face new challenges."

"The teachers at Oswego High were excellent but I would like to see more classroom-interactive based studies."

"I liked a lot of the teachers there, and felt I got a decent education because of that. The school population is very diverse and they have lots of clubs/organizations in place to help students get involved in their community. Course work is decent, as long as you apply effort. College courses are challenging, which is what I really enjoyed about the school. I feel like I was more prepared for college when I first got there and I couldn't be more grateful for that."
