"Plainfield North provides an optimal opportunity to prosper to those willing to receive it, yet many don't due to any number of impediments spanning from racial tension, violence, social expectation, etc. Personally, as someone of Hispanic descent, my work speaks for itself and I've made the best out of my time at north and I'm still finding that the time was and is well spent. I feel prepared to embrace life because of how I was able to develop my character through North."

"Plainfield North has hidden racial tension that quite often is overlooked. In this new administration racism has become more surfaced. As a minority, I am often faced with this tension, although I am pretty vocal to my superiors I do not feel that my words are taken seriously."

"Plainfield North offered various AP classes, but the way the school's athletic department and administrative offices were run showed many developmental errors, whether it was lack of communication or overruling politics that made student activism difficult."

"North was an awesome place, the environment and staff were all very welcoming. There was always an adult available to talk to if you needed it. There were many opportunities to get involved and the class sizes were big enough to find your people and small enough to still know everyone inside and outside of your circle."

"My experience at Plainfield North was average. I do not feel as though there was anything spectacular about this school. I always prioritized my education and was able to keep good grades throughout my time there. Like many other things, high school was what you made of it. Luckily I was able to find clubs like the Latino Cultural Club and the Plainfield Rugby Club, where I felt I belonged. Attending a diverse college has also made me realize how much Plainfield North lacks diversity. While I was still a student, I remember that administration never made it a point to show interest in diversity or support the cultural clubs. It would be nice to see more interest from administration in something other than sports (football) and have money go to other places (besides football)."
