"I'll start with the people. Everyone at Payton is really great, it is impossible not to make friends every year. There is a wide range of class course options and each is just the right amount of challenging. The teachers are very unique and helpful. I love the art program and our seminar days (half days every other Wednesday) the most. I love my school. I'm lucky to be here . It's very diverse and amazing."

"WPCP's Asian American club needs to step up its game. Unlike the other clubs/groups affiliated with social groups (African American club, ALAS, QSA etc.), this club doesn't do anything, least of all hold conversations about social issues. The "presidents" of the club win votes by promising food. When you go to its enrichment, literally the only thing that happens is the teacher takes attendance and for 45 minutes, everyone sits there on their phone while the selfish, poor excuses of leaders like Annie Mei collect points for their resumes."

"I loved the stimulating academic environment at Payton, but even more so, I loved how much my teachers cared about my academic success. When I slipped behind the class, they checked up on me and when I excelled, they commended me."

"Opportunity thrives at this school. Personally, I have been able to participate in a numerous amount of activities and programs that simply aren't available at other schools. The lunch isn't the best, but it is free. The culture here has been described as competitive, but the administration and numerous teachers have tackled this by removing class rank/valedictorian as well as abolishing grades in some classes. It still has room to improve, but I am confident that it is. One thing about Payton that you cannot find anywhere else is a robust Diplomacy Club dedicated to the strategical board game, Diplomacy. Students really do enjoy pursuing cool and quirky interests and they are facilitated through the school's unique Seminar Day and Enrichment offerings. Avid ultimate frisbee players, mathematicians, and board gamers are likely to thrive here."

"The academic rigor and level to which teachers push us to our full potential is challenging at times, but it is very satisfying in the end, and it teaches the discipline in studying to prepare us for college and careers. However, the culture of students pressuring themselves to earn higher grades and test scores does take a toll on the mental health of many students, and simply being told by our administration to not take hard classes or excessively study for the sake of a grade is not helping to curb this common occurrence."
