"This school used to be known as Gordon Tech, but it changed before my junior year. So my only experience was the last two years. These last two years were not very enjoyable, the only thing I really liked about it was a few teachers and the sports. Towards the end of my junior year, I suffered a sever head injury, and none of the administration had reached out to me and ensure that I was okay. Only a few teachers had checked up on me, but I felt completely abandoned by the rest of the faculty. Once we changed our name and the new administration came it, they started to bring in their own teachers, and they were not too good. Most of my classes were taught by the remaining teachers from Gordon, but from what I heard, and saw, the new teachers were not doing their job."

"The campus is beautiful. When I first visited I felt in love with it and I knew it was my future college. The people are very nice and also it's a nice environment."

"My experience of DePaul College Prep has been great. The teachers are like your friends. Throughout my high school life I always feel safe. It's the best thing about going to a private school because it's a small environment."

"Before its partnership with DePaul University, it was formerly called Gordon Technical High School. Since its transformation, many things have gone downhill. The school's choir is no longer cheerful and often mumbles the words to songs during school mass. The lunch-ladies who have served the school for years were fired as a result of changing the food company associated with the school. The school's leaders thought it was a good idea to try to get more healthy food into the students' diets, but there is a very big lack of options. All that is served now are hot dogs, fries, burgers, cookies, brownies, soda, etc, whereas before, there was always a great meal served with a side of vegetables and a large range of options, including a salad bar. On the subject of lunch, there is no longer any free or reduced lunch offered to students who come from families who are in financial need."

"DePaul College Prep is more than just a school, it is a deeply invested community. With smaller class sizes, teachers can get to know each student as an individual, working with the kids to enhance their strengths and improve their weaknesses. The tuition is too expensive."
