"The school is amazing and has changed me so much as a senior now I have realized that when people say it's going to go by fast it really does. West made me realize that high school is the best thing a kid can experience and the environment is amazing. I love the teachers at West they all are outgoing and help students go over what they need for college or to need to pass a class. I would recommend that any student who wants to go to a school where they feel accepted and feel welcome west is the place for you."

"At Hazelwood West high school their teaching dynamics are completely off. The teachers are rude most of the time just because they have the higher power over the students. We are a really diverse school. The teacher's show a lot of favortism over certain students. At Hazelwood West high school we have a lot of unessasary supensions."

"Hazelwood west high school is very diverse. However when it comes to the honors and ap classes that is not the case. This has come to the attention of the administration and therefore they began the west prep program. West prep has the goal of bringing the diverse top class into more advanced classes. Hazelwood West does a good job of challenging students. The only problem is that the student has to want to learn. In my honors physics class there were only 13 kids, it was so quiet everyday you could hear a pin drop. Whereas in regular physics the classroom next door had 30+ kids and we heard screaming all the time. The problem is not enough kids want to learn and need a reality check because this is their future. I'm conclusion the opportunity is there for all the kids yet a majority of the students do not take it."

"What I loved about hazelwood west high school is how the teachers taught us and how they were so engaged with us to keep us interested in what we were being taught. Through out my high school experience from freshman to senior year I felt as though my passion for learning grew more than ever. I do not think hazelwood west high school should change anything about how they treat or teach there students."

"I believe west is a great school for the average student and I also believe the staff tries their best to help every student succeed in life. With that said there is plenty that you can fault the school for especially on their ability to help students with special needs like ADHD. But for your every day run of the mill student the school is a good environment and has a staff that tries to help."
