"I loved grain Valley house. I was offered so many opportunities at many different times thoughout being at grain valley. The one thing I would change is their grading system."

"The teachers are very polite and make it a priority to make sure kids learn in class and get good grades, as well as bonding with the students and their schedules. The curriculum was useful and will be important in everyday life."

"Grain Valley is a small town so there's ups and downs to it, but it's been pretty good to me. I just wish there was more diversity, more school spirit, and more courses to choose from."

"Grain Valley has a strong desire for their students to succeed academically and place all of their focus on improving the education of the students. The school offers many AP classes and many challenging courses. However, they offer very few dual credit classes. The math department is also not the greatest. Overall, the quality of academics at Grain Valley High School is good."

"I like the way that the school district and tax payers have come together to build some great sporting facilities, as well as expand the high school to accommodate the up and coming kids in the district. Our school has some of the best teachers when it comes to trying to prepare us for our future. The councilors have been great especially this year. They have met with every senior and went through their schedules to ensure they will meet requirements for graduating and to ensure they are taking the courses necessary for success in college. The only thing to complain about is the grading scale. We currently use standards based grading which is difficult compared to the traditional percentage/ averaging grading. On top of being more difficult, they have recently changed the grading again and now the scale only goes by .5. For example, you can no longer get a 2.75 which would normally be a B+. It would be rounded down to a 2.5."
