"We have many teachers at our school who are very outgoing and open to new ideas students may have. Our teachers here at Westran High School truly are great and will usually go out of their way just to make their own students happy. Over the years our teachers have found new ways to make learning at a higher/harder level more interesting and fun. They are always respectful to the students and never bring anyone down. Any words that come out of their mouths are always encouraging and respectful towards us no matter the situation. Our school is very small, so most of the teachers know the students on a more personal level. The teachers do not show favoritism to any students; they treat us all equally. I do love our school and the teachers who encourage us each and every day to go out of our comfort zones. They push us to do things that we aren't comfortable doing in an effort to make us more outgoing and brave in situations. Our school is truly blessed with great teachers!"

"Westran High School has a good academic program. A lot of our students here are very academically focused and take school seriously. We usually have great test scores when it comes to EOC test or SAT tests. We are very fortunate that way. Over the years we've been told that our score overall as a school has gone up with these required tests, which is something we are all mostly proud of. In past years, and this year also, there has been more than one valedictorian. That is a huge honor to have more than one person in such a small class that maintains a 4.0 for 4 years of high school! Our academics and intelligence levels are actually very impressing at this school. Our teachers are a big part of what makes that possible though. We have very good scheduling and organization that our teachers plan out, and it allows us to make time for school and extracurricular activities at the same time. This is very important to balance because students need a chance to relax while also trying their best to succeed in an academic way."

"At our school it can be pretty diverse and separated at times. I would say the biggest issue in our school would have to be a the issue with peer pressure. We have had a lot of students get in trouble with drugs and alcohol. Now given people make their own choices, it is still an issue of people being pressured into doing these illegal things. Accepting is another big problem in my opinion. We have as girl at our school who pretends she is a guy, and often she gets made fun of and harassed for it. I always try to stand up for other students when bullying is going on, but it's hard when every time you turn around someone is gossiping or harassing another student. Overall our school is very accepting, but there is just certain age groups and jock groups who thinks they can say/do however they please to. There's many students in our school who stand up to these matters to, and slowly but surely we will fix these problems from occurring so much at our school."

"The school and teachers itself here are amazing. Some of the things that make it a little less enjoyable would probably be because of the students. We do have some instances and cases where bullying and harassment is an issue, which had actually affected me. Other than problems that the students themselves cause, the school is very well rounded and a good district to be involved with. The only reason i don't prefer our school is because I am a fan of big schools that are populated with a lot of students. I'm more of an outgoing person and I like to associate with many people, so bigger schools apply to my interest more. Our students do cause problems, yes, but honestly what school doesn't have drama sometimes? Westran High School is truly a great school that involves good teachers, students, and administrators. I'm very happy I grew up to accomplish many things at this school and make the friends that I did."
