"It is a relatively good high school. Definitely not the best but I believe the school really tries to prepare you for the rest of your life."

"This school is not the worst school at all but definitely not the best. This is most likely mostly due to low funding from LISD, as it receives little compared to the other high schools. That being said, many groups are not properly recognized in the school, besides sports and theater."

"My experience at The Colony High School has greatly affected my academic experience because I believe that we have a great staff of teachers and administration that truly care about their students. The only struggle that the school goes through is the student body because there is a huge academic range between the low and the high percent of GPA's. I believe that the school could have a more advance honor code system so that the student body could be more motivated to bring their grades up higher."

"Above anything else, the sense of community drives the student body to better themselves as students and people. The Colony doesn't seem to be split up into socioeconomic classes or into predefined cliques, but instead, the student body is a great mix of people who all seem to care about each other. The academic ability of the school is also very good. I've witnessed this over my four years of being a student, seeing countless students end up in major universities because of the passionate teachers and counselors at The Colony. My one complaint is their lack of funding into small groups and organizations in the school. It makes sense that a large portion of their money goes into Football and other major sports, just because of the fact we live in Texas. But the neglect for funding of STEM and art centered groups such as theater/orchestra really hurt students who are highly intelligent but are gifted in ways other than athletics."

"I have had an average high school experience with the dramas that come with being a teenager. My only issue with the school is their faulty organization and lack of 'back ups'. For example, two copies of a students attendance records and such."
