"Being able to call myself a Pirate at Wylie High School is an honer that any other high school student would yearn to have. I always encourage parents and children alike that there is no other way than the "Wylie Way" when it comes to the ever growing community, outstanding facility, education, academic variety, students, and fantastic Principal. There are the naysayers who allow their teen angst to hinder their true high school experience, however, some students take for granted the never ending opportunities provided to each individual. The diversity of our clubs and academics provide students with education to fit all unique career paths. Most notably, the very face of Wylie High School's principal and humble leader; Virdie Montgomery. He makes all efforts go to school activities, leaving "AHMO pride" everywhere, and maintaining a healthy environment for the school. The experience I have had overall in my four years attending this school is magnificently memorable!"

"Over the past four years, I've attended Wylie High. The whole school has a wide variety of clubs for all kinds of people with different interests and opinions, but everyone seems to function as one unit. The school is very bound by 'AHMO,' a battlecry that resonates with the hearts of students, parents, teachers, and all citizens of Wylie. It embodies the spirit and drive that all students have while roaming the halls and studying hard in classes. There are many caring individuals that help students get through the taxing high school years, and move on to have a successful future as a college student and, eventually, an empowered and hard-working adult. This school isn't perfect, but it has all the best intentions for its students and helps us all grow together."

"Coming into Wylie High School, I did not know anyone and had no friends. Given how friendly everybody was there, I made friends in no time and continued to have a great high school experience. Great Teachers."

"Having gone to WHS for four years now, I can say that I am proud to be a Wylie Bulldog. The amount of school spirit is undeniable, most of the teachers are amazing, and there are multiple opportunities to enhance your education. Unfortunately, there are lots of things that could be done to help students achieve greatness. Some of the administrators are unapproachable, there aren't enough counselors to support the growing amount of students, and students at a disadvantage are not well accommodated. The lack of additional help from the leaders at the school hiders Wylie from being the best it can be."

"Pros: Wylie High School has provided me with an great high school experience. From band to fellowship of Christian students Wylie provides the students with many ways to be involved. In class the teachers expect an atmosphere of willingness to learn. Outside of class the teachers are willing to listen to their students about their life. At Wylie nobody sits alone. Programs like Rachel's Challenge and Wylie Way Day's ensure that the students know they are cared for. Cons: While Wylie cares for their students education I feel that the school does not stress the importance of college readiness. They take time for all the students to take the PSAT and tell the students to think about college, however, the school does not do the best job of setting students on the right path for college readiness. The custodians do not always check to see if the soap dispenser in the boys bathroom behind the band hall is full. It often goes days without being restocked."
