"South Hills is lowkey the place to be in fwisd. Coming into the school I didn't want to be here because all my friends were going to Paschal but once I got here I loved it. The school is so diverse, very rich in latino culture, the classes offered are great, the teachers are great. This school gets a lot of scholarships every year because our Go Center really helps us and we have an amazing AVID program. There are tons of clubs to pick from and join, you'll always feel at home."

"The school offers challenging courses in the form of AP, Pre-AP, Honors, and Advanced courses. The campus is large in size and the teachers and staff are all wonderful and willing to work with you with whatever issue you may have. The GO Center staff are extremely supportive with students in their endeavor to ultimately reach college. The lunch food is average, classrooms are average, but the teachers are the people that make all the difference. Assuming you take advanced or more difficult classes, you'll be sure to learn a plethora of new material. The ethnic makeup of the school is almost homogeneous, with an overwhelming majority of students being Hispanic/ Latino, so the school may appear similar to a shut-in community, but the students are in fact very welcoming."

"The best part about South Hills are the clubs and activities. Being a part of activities such as theater, choir, or dance brought me closer to other students and made my high school experience a lot more fun."

"It's not as crazy as other public schools. Although there's a lot of interesting events happening. There is variety show which is a fancy name for a talent show. Our homecoming week consists of a carnival, with bouncy houses snacks to enjoy like corn in a cup or a snow cone. Also there's a DJ, it gets very exciting."
