Topic: Overall Experience
"I'm a senior now, and these three years have gone by so fast. My personal experience at this school has been the best. To waking up early to go to band practice, to playing at the pep rallies, to cheering on our football boys every Friday night, to experiencing homecoming and winning the homecoming game, to the crowd just going wild because the quarterback made a total of 56 touchdowns this football year, to playing in the halftime show, because my band directors worked their butt off to show us each movement, to just experiencing everything high has to offer. I am beyond blessed to be graduating as a Maverick. We all bleed black and red. Our rivals are the Cisco Loboes, because back in the 1990's, a couple of Eastland's team decided to blow up Cisco's football field, ever since then we've been rivals. But, when is comes down to something terrible happening to one of the towns, we end up being best friends. This school revolves around football. Why? Because when it comes to football, the whole town gets into spirit. From painting your body half red and half black to writing on the vehicles about "One Team One Dream', or "Maverick Pride", because that's what Eastland is all about. I will miss those crazy Friday nights, with the high school band, playing "The Hey Song" or just saying football chants. The School Song,,,, "Hail Eastland High School, hats off to thee, forever we'll find you, loyal and free". This is my last year here, and I will miss it."
"The teachers at Eastland High School help with anything you ask for. For those who have struggles reading, the principal will put that specific student in a ESL class and help them read with reading practice. If you don't understand something specific in class or what the teacher Is going over, they simply tell you to stay after class and talk to them. The teachers there honestly work their butts off just to teach us right, to learn and acknowledge everything."

"Those who did well in school seemed to be prepared for the real world. Personally, I felt more than prepared and extremely excited for college. Eastland teachers taught so well that students were ready for a bigger challenge than a high school could offer."
