"It's a good school with a lot of students, it has great clubs and sports but If i could change something it would be the food."

"I went to high school here. The atmosphere was my least favorite part of this school, but the academics are very good here. I did not realize how prepared I was academically until I went to college and saw how ahead I was compared to most of my fellow classmates in college. Most of the teachers at Smithson Valley, while maybe a little harsh, push the students for a reason and do a great job of teaching."

"Smithson Valley High School provides a wonderful educational foundation for all of their students. My only complaint would be the lack of diversity amongst the student body and the staff. Although it has gotten much better, the school could work on bettering diversity."

"Smithson Valley High School provided a great atmosphere and learning environment for its students. The school offered regular, Pre-AP, AP, and Dual Credit courses that allowed students to obtain college credit for introductory classes while they were still in high school. The teachers were friendly and were able to talk to students about academic and personal matters. Extra-curricular activities were available for students (this ranged from anything like golf to marching band). The curriculum for the regular classes does not do a good job of actually educating the students. There is an incredible gap of what is expected of the students between the regular and advanced classes."
