"I had a great time at Leander! The people are so friendly, the school spirit is great, and there are a plethora of activities and organizations to join. Academics are average, and administration is consistently approving, especially with our new principal Mr. Simpson. The counselors still need to improve, however."

"I was a part of the music prgram and the Marching Band. Being involved in the band was the best decision I made and I felt like I was a part of a familt from the first band camp up to graduation."

"Good academics, met great people & teachers (especially in the AP and IB level) Need to haggle with administrators if you want something changed or to start something new, like most public high schools. But overall great experience."

"LHS is in a great district where teachers are valued greatly and often if there is a horrendous teacher the students can voice their opinions and get change. Many high-level classes are offered and ultimately the school is well run with great assets for our lower amount of funding compared to the rest of the high schools in the district."

"Overall I would have to say that Leander High School is extraordinarily moderate, which I guess is something you could say about any public school. In reality, LHS is exactly just like any other public school. It's a bland, messy building with terrible food and 1,000+ smelly, crazy teens. If I had to choose one thing that I love the best about LHS though, it would be the community feeling I get here. I am involved with both Theatre and IB and in both of those programs I really connect with everyone. I know all the students and feel very comfortable around them, and the teachers are amazing and easy to talk to. Everyone seems very committed to what they are doing, which makes the overall experience more enjoyable. However, LHS still has it's flaws. If they could improve upon anything I would suggest investing more money into the school and it's equipment to better improve the appearance and effectiveness of the facility."
