"I really enjoyed my time at Vandegrift because of the classmates and the programs. My class was a very connected class and had unique community among the students. Everyone was very friendly toward each other and you could talk to anyone because you knew you were among friends. The academics were exceptional. The teachers were very supportive of their students and enjoyed their job. They knew how to be involve with their students and accelerate their learning. I was excited about my education and felt the material prepped me for more challenging courses in the future. The only thing I would change is the size. Vandegrift is a relatively new school and there aren't many students there. That means the funding is small and they can't support many programs. With more students, there are more parents funding money to the school and they can use that to expand the school's programs. I feel like many programs will get more students involve in the school and prepare them for their future."

"My experience at vandegrift brought me to a different culture. A culture that valued the importance of education. I've been to 5 schools before vandegrift and I can say it has been the one school that provided me with the tools I needed to be successful. Thank you Vandegrift."

"VHS started to prepare me for college and looking at what I wanted to do after High School in 9th grade. My counselors monitored and reminded my every step. My mother said that she didn't think any other school had such an all out program to prepare students; and she didn't have this much attention as a teenager. I know I am lucky to have had this attention and many unfortunate kids didn't have the same chances. Vandegrift HS is the Best!!"

"Vandegrift High School is a very challenging and competitive school that provides quality education. There are many AP courses available to take and teachers are very helpful and try to make sure that each student is succeeding. Many students are also involved in athletic and extracurricular activities which are often very successful. One of the downsides of Vandegrift is the parking and traffic. It can take up to an hour to get to or from school depending on the day, and there are not enough parking spots for all the students and teachers. Otherwise, Vandegrift is a great school that prepares students to be successful in college and beyond."

"I love the competitive atmosphere of my school and how everyone strives to be the best. While this competition adds unnecessary stress, I don't believe there is truly any way to get around it without lowering our standards. The one thing that stands out to me that could be improved upon is the overall diversity of the schoool. We have plenty of whites and asians, but other groups are drastically underrepresented."
