"Mission is the best place to be. Teachers are there to support and push you to be better. At first I was a little scared of starting my freshman year there, because I thought it was going to be hard. Passing all my classes with my first semester I knew it was going to be okay. I love the environment there, we, as a class, have gotten so closeness this freshman year. Many teachers have supported me and helped me out when I needed it."

"There were multiple things I liked about MECHS. First, the atmosphere is always welcoming and open. Because the school is so small and everyone knows everyone, people usually stay on their best behavior and go out of their way to help each other. Second, most, if not all, of the teachers are skilled and competent. They really care about the well-being of their students and the quality of the education they're receiving. Third, this school offers everyone the chance to get their associate's degree. Despite this opportunity slowly becoming more and more available to students from other schools, their experience is unlikely to be the same as at MECHS. Here, the students really get to experience what it's like to be a college student who has responsibilities and consequences. The only real negatives are that MECHS doesn't have any sports other than intramurals and that everyone their is highly exposed to the weather."

"I think MECHS has done enough for me to be ready to go out in the real world by myself. Something I would like the school to add is sports and ROTC. Even though we do games here and there I think there would be better if we are aloud to compete against other schools. ROTC is something that could teach discipline and respect to the students."

"Mission Early College High School, or MECHS, is a school that doesn't follow regular high school stereotypes, our school is very small and this means that each teacher can pay more attention to individual students who need help. The teachers are always friendly and helpful and the administration, stop their busy schedule to have conversation with students to ask them how they are doing and to encourage academically. The counselor at our school will take the time to individually help us prepare academically for the next school year and this helps the high school students feel a sense of belonging because not everyone who applies to MECHS gets accepted, its a small school with a big heart. The way I like to see it is, one big happy family."

"My experience in Mission Early College High School so far has been surprising. I learned that having no competition in sports actually helped us focus more on academics and helped us be less stressed out. Having classes such as aerobics, weights, P.E., and intramurals does help us destress a bit from everything we have to do on a daily basis. Not only are the students in our school easy to talk to so much as to consider upperclassmen family, but so are most of the teachers. Teachers help us throughout our whole journey, but are careful not to let us off the hook all the time. They taught me how some of the classes counted towards college and helped us get over with some of the basic classes needed for our majors. This school is very helpful when it comes to education and college experiences. Going to Mission Early College High School is truly the greatest decision any teen could ever make if they're planning on staying on the right track and focused on achieving their dreams."
