"When I attended Valley High School they were in a huge administration change. The new admin had a different vision for the direction of the school than majority of the teachers, so it created lots of tension and resulted in many of the teachers leaving. This tension had an impact on the experience of students like myself. I saw teachers lose the motivation and the drive they once had to teach with meaning and to make an impact on students. I was somewhat fortunate in being part of the International Baccalaureate program at Valley High School. The IB program will forever be the only salvageable part of this school. This program produces some of the brightest students in Las Vegas and it is in part to the highly intelligent and motivated teachers that you can see are elite in their field and can see that result in the excellence of their students. The IB program carries this school and without this program, Valley HS would be nothing."

"Valley High School is a old school in Las Vegas. A lot of students are HISPANIC. There are 3 programs such as IB, regular, and ELL. ELL program is good for the foreigners that just came to the United State. There are a lot of good teachers and good friends!"

"Valley High School is like a big family. Despite how small it is, at the end of the day it will be the biggest part in your heart. Teachers are good, kind, and comprehensive. If you are the type of person that like to hang out with some friends, this place is going to be the fun part of the day. Always remeber: "Go Vikings!""

"My experience at V alley high school many twists and turns. The reason that is because I did things I thought I would never do. I like the way the school gives us freedom and how teachers are always there to help. This is my last and the past years were fun and especially senior year. The events they have are exciting to attend."

"I originally started my High School years at Las Vegas Academy (LVA), but it really wasn't my kind of school. My first day there was the worst ever and it really wasn't a comfortable environment; so given the fact that all my older siblings have gone to Valley, I decided to transfer. I don't regret my decision at all, the teacher are amazing and the visual arts program is incredible. I was worried that my art skills weren't advancing as much as they would be at LVA, but I've since won several countu contests including one sponsored by LVA."
