"The environment at Sparks High School was a welcoming one; awesome teachers and staff that encouraged extracurricular involvement. It's not ranked high on the scale of funding, but a lot was achieved with the resources available."

"I loved how Sparks made me feel welcome ever since the first day of school. Some of the teachers were helpful in many ways."

"I attended SHS for all 4 years, so I have no other high school to compare my experience to. I honestly loved this school. My counselor was always popping into classes to give my class the most recent updates on proficiency exams, opportunities, or anything she thought was important to know about. She helped me get SAT and ACT fee waivers, college entrance fee waivers, and get into college dual-credit programs (one of which she helped my sister and I get a scholarship for). My best memories are the Read for the Ride raffles at the end of every school year. I absolutely loved my teachers (and the librarians). I will always remember my time as a Railroader."

"I would that this is okay, the teacher here do really care about their students. The school really lacks at funding their art, music and ROTC programs, not to mention that the administration is absolutely trash and they don't know how to deal with students behavior."

"Enrolled at Sparks High school have been the best years of my life. Sparks High is like a fossil. Old, small and filled with knowledge waiting to be tested upon. What made high school the best for me is joining the soccer program. I've been a varsity player since my freshman year. A senior now it has taught me responsibility, hard work, a positive attitude and reaching my goals and not just the ones I put behind the net. One thing I would change about my school is the amount of resources we have. Being one of the oldest schools in Nevada has made is hard for the school to keep up with technology. My school needs some improvements with the heating and air conditioning, bathroom stalls, speakers in the gym and football field and roofing."
