"What I really like about NOW Academy is all the different types of college readiness resources there are for students. The school is also overall really good and it has nice teachers, nice staff, and nice students. Everyone there treats you like family and makes you feel welcomed and loved. The school is also very safe. All the staff at NOW Academy want their students to be successful and have many resources to help the students graduate from college and help them achieve their goals. The teachers also really challenge the students and help them believe that they could do whatever they want if they really set their mind to it. One thing I don't like about the school is the lack of class options they offer. I feel like they should offer more AP classes and more different variety of classes. Overall I would recommend this school to someone who wants a very close-knit community or school that really challenges them."

"I have a lot of wonderful experiences with NOW Academy. The ones I remember the most are our Art Shows--there's always a ton of funfair around this event--from amazing raffle prizes (I won a $50 Best Buy gift card last year!), to flash mobs, to fashion shows, and more--NOW's art shows are arguably more fun than the average exhibitions. Another favorite memory was when the Interact NOW Club did community service for the FoodBank. We were a small team, way smaller compared to the others around us, but we delivered twice as much as everyone else. We kept our pace up, and we were all very jolly. There was tons of laughter and joy even as we tore through cereal boxes like they were candy and slammed nutritional tags on them as fast as gatling guns. NOW is unique--we have amazing teachers, caring staff, and (mostly) civilized students. I don't think there are other schools that can compare. I love this school so much that even though I want to go to schools that specialize in art, I WOULDN'T. (Imagine the word as italicized rather than capitalized). I would miss too much of the experience that is just so NOW, you can't possibly find it anywhere else."

"The teachers in NOW Academy are unique. Each and every one of them have their quirks, quirks which are especially prominent when they teach. Some teachers like to make their lessons really fun, relaxed and informative as well as remaining practical while others prefer lessons that are more informational and rigid. If there is one thing that most, if not all of them have, is that they take an interests in their students, and they CARE. (I would italicize the word care, but that option was unavailable). The teachers that I have been with all know their subjects well, and even when they are not masters of their subject, they take classes, read and learn what they can of that subject. They do their best to make sure that what their students are learning are optimal, and are always approachable to offer support when needed, schedule a session, or point students in the right direction when they show interest. NOW teachers understand that they are teachers. They have a responsibility to share their knowledge with their students, and to their best for them. Arguably, no teacher in NOW allows their students to do nothing. Lessons are planned well, and students are never to go about with spending their time without an assigned task. Teachers communicate well, are very friendly and are easy to strike conversations with. They provide as much of their help to academically struggling students, English Language Learners, and students who disrupts class. Well, as for grading--our school uses Engrade to evaluate grades, and teachers are conceivably fair in grading. Overall, NOW has amazing teachers, and we are lucky to have them."

"I made great friends there. It was fun. Some teachers were bad but others really did care."

"Some teachers really care. Some teachers are just not good at teaching."
