"The school is very excessive when it comes to sports, events, arts, and pride. Parking is $60 and the school buys T shirts very very often. The choir is large and very good. Sports are ranked very well in the league. The atmosphere is not for everybody though. Some teachers with tenure stop caring."

"The school has a lot of school spirit. It provides a lot of educational opportunities and extra curriculars. It is easy to find a niche (for lack of a better word). The staff is generally very well equipped and ready to help."

"I really like the reputation that has been built up throughout the many years in Los Alamitos High School. No one is forgotten at this school, and everyone treats each other like a close friend."

"The athletics at this school are FANTASTIC ! They really support athletes and ASB. However, the diversity rating should be lower. An A-, really ?! The majority of the students here are affluent white kids. The students also have issues with racism / homophobia (although there are several clubs on campus that support LGBT and other minorities, like QSA, YDS, and Modern Feminism Club). In addition, a lot of kids participate in underage drinking. For some, this is not an issue, but as a previous participant in Every 15 Minutes, this was a problem. There is great school spirit and lots of fun activities, but the students are like high school frats. The teachers are hit or miss. So many of the kids complain about incompetent or unaccommodating teachers. Seriously, there's a difference between strict and rude. I was lucky to get good English / History teachers, but math was another story. Overall, this school may / may not be good depending on what matters the most to you."

"Los Alamitos High School must be experienced in order to understand what you'll become afterward. Left unaccommodated by my elementary and my middle school, Los Alamitos High School's administration were helpful in getting me the attention I needed at the time to overcome personal and educational hurdles. In addition, the teachers give you, speaking from experience, assistance with questions and 'clear the wind' about the course step-by-step during class and outside of the classroom. On the contrary, I've encountered occasional instances where the administration didn't respond to "bullying" on campus unless you brought the attention to the principal or the school counselors. But at the same time, we're all human and we all make mistakes, and I'm confident that they're are making progress in learning from those mistakes; that's what Los Alamitos High School represents, always learning to improve each other's past for the betterment of the future."
