"When I attended, the counselors weren't very reliable towards students of color but hope was found at the college center because the people their actually wanted you to go to college."

"Some of the teachers at Carson High are very passionate about the subject they teach and will help students if they need it. Other teachers don't care about their class and students. A certain government/economics teacher will grade down students for assignments on which the expectations were never clearly stated. The dean does little when it comes to items being stolen and will pin the blame on the student for having their item stolen and not keeping a look out. As if they are constantly looking over their shoulder to make sure no one comes up to steal their phone."

"I have attended Carson Senior High School for grades 9-12. Carson Senior High School is not what society makes it seem like. The school has become a complex and is split into 3. The reason for this is to focus on students' interests for further education in college. This shows how much they want to prepare the students for college. The teachers are challenging and care about their students. Although the school is split into 3, everyone truly comes together spirit wise. The atmosphere at sport events is incredible and you feel the #coltlove through your body. As most people know, Carson California is one of the most diverse cities. The school feels like a big family; there is no discrimination or division."

"The school is pretty great. The staff are amazing and helpful and the students are nice. The school financially is not doing so well."

"Carson is made up of 3 schools. Although they have pilot schools, they come together and work as one. Carson is a very diverse group of students. We all are different but accept one another. We are like family. We help each other and are courteous. Aside from students, our teachers are very active with their students. They try to be involved as much as they can and understand their students. They put their teachings in society scenarios that may occur so we understand more realistic. Overall Carson is a highly educated school that is divested in its population"
