"Some of the teachers are very knowledgeable, enjoy teaching and treat students with respect. However, too many teachers at Taft are either too lazy to teach or simply do not understand the material themselves. Some go out of their way to demean students and it seems they relish in seeing kids do poorly. Furthermore, too many teachers try to push a political agenda and go off on tangents about their beliefs and ideologies instead of simply teaching the subject matter ."

"Taft Charter High School is a very spirited school with high expectations for their students. The sports are diverse and the majority of the teams have won prestigious awards and gained recognition at the state and national level. However, do not expect guidance to fall from the sky in terms of counseling and academics. If you're concerned with college and your education in general, the resources are available at Taft, but nobody makes you aware of these resources. Granted, you'll learn where to go and who to see when you need help once you have acquainted yourself with the school for at least a year, but it would be beneficial if the counselors and staff should provide more guidance to incoming freshmen."

"When I entered Taft around 2013, I entered at some academic disadvantages. Because I never grew up in an academic household the typical readiness to do school work wasn't well implemented in my behavior. So even though I was not the smartest I still had the drive but in order to do this i needed guidance, and this is was one of the hardships I had in Taft. I knew I needed to seek help myself, but the explanation of what help and where to find it was hardly explained. So I roughly had to guide myself to graduation. Overall Taft is a great school, but it mostly is great if you can get help and be able to put yourself at the top."

"Taft charter high school was a pretty good school. The teachers sought to help students learn the material being taught for each subject and tried to prepare students for college."

"Taft is one of the better examples of the perfect average school. It's a well equipped school that has no major problems, however, has the classic problems that schools have these days. Some teachers are unnecessarily hard to deal with or simply crazy, but the administration is very easy to approach. As much as Taft is a bad school, it is mostly a fine, ordinarily excellent example."
