"Very good school when it comes to academics, but the teachers truly do assign way to much for the students to do. Most students get home, work non-stop until they are done with homework, then repeat the same cycle the next day. Other than that this school truly does prepare you for college."

"I am in my fourth year at High Tech Los Angeles and I couldn't feel more prepared. What is different about this school is the amount of care and effort that is put in by the teachers just so the students can feel comfortable in their transition to college. They push and encourage students to reach their goals. High Tech LA offers various programs as well, for example, the college counselor program where you are grouped with a college counselor that focuses on you. The college counselor guides you through the college application process. I'm thankful I picked this school."

"It is a very small charter high school, part of the Birmingham campus in Lake Balboa. The closed-knit community is helpful for achievement in classes. It also promotes social interactions, no only from students in the same grade level, but also from lower and upper classmen."

"Great school that embodies the meaning of being a community. The school has less than 500 students which makes it easier for the staff to have a connection with their students. Students from all grade levels are exposed to one another and therefore a community is built within everyone and by the end of your high school career, you will know more than half of the people in the school."

"HTLA is very focused on the education, as any school should, but they are also there to support you. Aside from the work itself being hard, they taught me how to make the best presentations and how to speak in front of an audience. They taught me time management, being able to juggle all my classes plus my extracurricular activities. This school was my home. It was my safe place, no matter how stressful it was."
