"I first came to Osos as a transfer student freshman year. I knew only a handful of people and was scared of meeting new students, but there were plenty of people and teachers there who were more than willing to help me. Over the years, I've come to truly enjoy my high school experience. The only major part that I found to be negative, it the large amount of pressure felt by many honors students here. Due to the large amount of advanced classes you're able to take, there's almost an expectancy to take more and do the best in each class. I found this to be extremely overwhelming, especially in my sophomore year. So many students around me are always stressed and lack sufficient sleep. Most teachers, thankfully, are very understanding and will almost always help you along the way as long as you ask! Overall, I'm pretty thankful to have been able to come to this school, and meet so many kind people."

"Los Osos High School was a pretty good experience for me. As long as you keep up with everything, you should make it out pretty ok. Make sure that you do ap classes and clubs because theres a lot of opportunities here that you can take advantage of that not many other high schools have."

"Los Osos was a very diverse school with high education . Being in college now my teachers prepared me so well and I am using all the tips I got from high school and putting it in to my college work."

"I went to Los Osos High School from 2012-2016. The teaching staff was excellent, notably Alicia Becker. She was my AP Language teacher my junior year and was a valuable asset when I was applying for colleges my senior year. One of the downfalls of Los Osos was its eco-friendliness. By 1 pm, the girls' bathrooms' trash cans were always overflowing with paper towels. I encourage Los Osos to replace the paper towels with hand dryers. Furthermore, the vegetarian/vegan options were pitiful at the cafeteria. The only options were peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or egg sandwiches as the salads had chicken. Lastly, I found the art department to be incredible. I spent most of my time in graphics design class with Kimberly Dillbeck, a wonderful woman who mentored me in the art of graphic design. I have always found a use for this skill, even now in the research lab I am in now. Overall, this school was an environment that I thrived in, though I felt that there is still room to improve."
