"This school offers a good amount of classes for those who are interested in AP or IB. Generally speaking, Asians are in the higher level courses and Hispanics are in regular classes. I think that the school should initiate something to make them more motivated because the race difference is very obvious and a school so diverse doesn't have much diversity in the higher level classes. Also. there are certain teachers that all students know to avoid because they don't teach or are super hard which is unfair when compared to someone else teaching the same course well or easier."

"Very passionate staff! :D I love the overall ambiance of my school. We have a sense of unity even though their are so many different groups. I am glad I spent my four years of high school here. I have created priceless memories. I loved being engaged in school activities (so many clubs!) and sports as well. The cafeteria food was so-so and not entirely disgusting."

"If you want your child to go to a prestigious university, it's best not to sent him or her to Rowland High School. Most students end up going to UC's but even then, those who go to UC Berkeley or UCLA are the minority as opposed to students in Diamond Bar High School or Walnut High School who get accepted to better colleges. In addition, some of the teachers who teach a certain subject never even majored in it. For instance, my physics teacher never majored in physics and my Algebra 2 teacher didn't major in math."

"Attending John A. Rowland High School for four years, I have been exposed to many things offered in the high school and one thing I believe needs to change is the relationship between the counselors and the students. I often had to ask around for college advice because I wasn't informed about how to apply to college and the specific steps to take. Other than that, Rowland High School offers various opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with other students and faculty."

"Rowland was ok. There isnt really that much school spirit. The quality of teaching can be really inconsistent, depending on which teacher you get. High school wasn't really amazing, but I would reccomend getting involved with sports or something."
