"Del Lago Academy also has a relatively clean campus and only about 800 students attend. I like how every scholar takes the same classes which provides each scholar with the needed A-G requirements, which guarantees every scholar will be eligible to go to any UC College. Del Lago Academy provides 11th grade scholars with taking an internship for the 2nd semester. The internship can be really anywhere as long as the school accepts it and due to Del Lago Academy being partnered with the local hospitals, Palomar Hospital, then scholars are able to intern at the hospital which means the internship will last until the summer. There are not many sports provided at Del Lago, there is only Lacrosse, Soccer, Cross Country, Volleyball, and Basketball. Counselors attempt to get you ready for college with taking tours of colleges and by college representatives visiting campus often. However, during my 12th grade year they did not really assist me applying to college and for scholarship."

"Del Lago Academy is different from nearly all high schools that I know of. I can easily communicate with my teachers not only about retaking a competency for a better school, but also about things outside of academics. I was able to participate in different things, from my internship during junior year to the Pride Parade held by the club I am currently the president of- LGBT Straight Alliance club. Even when participating in the Advisory Olympics, I feel happy that I'm surrounded by a small community that understands one another and embraces different cultures."

"Del Lago Academy is a new and wonderful school that I am very grateful to be apart of. At Del Lago, I am apart of key club and ASB and these two clubs helped me become more involved in this school. Overall, Del Lago is a very diverse, welcoming, and safe environment to a part of."

"I have been a student at Del Lago for four years now and it's very different compared to other high schools. For one, Del Lago is science based, so a lot of the curriculum is tied to science in some way. Also, our grading system is unique. Students must pass every assignment with at least a C to pass the class. It may sound difficult to do, but we have a Never Too Late To Learn policy where a student is allowed to retake tests to either pass the assignment or raise their grade. Del Lago overall is a very diverse school and if you are up for a challenge, is a great school to attend."
