"Lower class courses and some lower class teachers were not the best experience but they prepared me for the upper level courses and high school in general. Upper class years were the best years of my life at El Cap, beautiful teachers and i felt excited more or less to learn from them even if some of the material was a struggle. All my teachers thoroughly enjoyed their subjects. All the students in my classes (honors and AP students) were whom I was around most of the time. A great group of kids, very little drama or violence in school I felt safe and comfortable. Could have worked more on ASB and student participation though, not many kids were informed nor pumped up for spirit days and other things."

"I graduated from ECHS in 2015, and I loved this school. There are some things I would change, like the student involvement and the administration's ability to let the kids actually do something to help the school, but overall the teachers really cared about us and the students, in the end, were pretty close together. It's a huge sports school, we get more than half the school out to football games, volleyball has gone to CIF the past five years, and baseball and softball keep winning championships. The excitement and involvement could have been better, but for a bunch of kids we really got out there and supported each other."

"I loved the many programs that El Cap provided and all the many opportunities that students have to connect with other people in the community through activities and groups. I was welcomed with open arms as a freshman and I still love this school. Some subjects could be taught in ways that students better understand but I do feel like I am getting a quality education."

"As of yet I have had no problems with the school and all of my experiences have been positive. I have heard from others that they are bad at dealing with student issues, but I have not had any first hand accounts of such. The honors program is really open for everyone which has the ability to be a good thing, but many students who are not ready to be in the program are, effectively slowing down the learning of others."

"My experience at El Capitan has thus far been positive. I have met some of my best friends here and have connected with many of my peers and have built strong trusting relationships with my teachers. I believe there is a great amount of support for our students and our staff has developed a community that is welcoming for all incoming students. We have many leadership clubs and classes which help freshmen acclimate to their new environment, recently we added two new classes to this category. As for what I would change that would probably have to relate to our athletics program. We have many great coaches, but then we also have coaches which aren't as careful with their teams personal well beings as they should be. And for certain sport, like water polo, our refs aren't all certified."
