"We have 4 children currently attending St. Joseph Academy; 2 in grade school and 2 in middle school. We have been at the school since our oldest was in first grade. Our children have grown academically, spiritually and emotionally. The administration is excellent; they faithfully follow the teachings of the Catholic Church and we truly believe they have the academic and spiritual growth of our children as their primary goal. Our children are very happy at the school and we feel truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family!"

"When homeschooling is not possible, choose Saint Joseph Academy, where the importance of faith and morals are on par with excellence in education. Without supernatural faith, education is worthless. SJA strives to form Saints and Scholars, and in that order. In 2016, the High School had the highest average SAT scores in the entire Diocese of San Diego. I attribute this to several factors, including the dedicated staff, small and intimate classes, the family influence on on the children, and the fact that where the Faith flourishes, the "lights are on" in the mind and soul. To maintain my 5 Star Rating, SJA need only to continue taking steps in the right direction - toward Tradition. As we progress through this present darkness of so many "-isms" (modernism, cultural marxism, humanism, moral relativism, etc), Tradition, as traditionally understood by the Catholics of antiquity, is the only thing that will save the day, as Christ is found most abundantly in Tradition."

"The majority of the teachers give engaging lessons and are very knowledgeable. They care about the students and are friendly."

"This school is incredibly disorganized. The management is terrible, the classes are poorly planned, and the extracurricular events are redundant. I have been in several classes where we start off with one teacher, then end up with two or three different teachers by the end of the year because the first one found a better job. It's difficult to adapt this way and has often affected my grade and my friends' grades. The management is strict about very dumb things and every single dance and event has literally been the same every year I've been there."

"It is common for the teachers at this school to inadequately teach the material, wait a very long time, and then proceed to spring quizzes and tests on the students without warning. I recognize that "pop quizzes" are often utilized to gauge student comprehension, but in this case, students don't feel that they have been prepared in the first place to comprehend and apply this material. Besides this fact, the teachers are knowledgeable and consistent with grading."
