"This school absolutely fosters individualism. You can learn and do a lot, but you must learn to do it for yourself because of our lack of resources. In fact, teachers will often say "exhaust all resources before coming to me." This is to save time and to teach the student to learn on their own accord. The school is so small that there is a lack of school spirit, but the community and support system you create with peers and teachers is a great one."

"This place definitely prepared me for the real world, but it also prepared me and encouraged me to be a world citizen, live a live of adventure, experience things outside of my comfort zone, explore the possibilities, take the opportunities presented to me, and not be scared to face the challenges that the real world presents."

"Not much of a social scene at the school itself. All of the students with an actual social life have it outside of school with friends from other school, bigger schools. Definitely a place of acceptance in all aspects of the word, and not much if any peer pressure. In terms of diversity, there's not much - definitely a bunch of local kids with similar backgrounds other than handful of students with ethnic backgrounds other than hispanic."
