"This is my first year as a junior and it was very welcoming. At first I wasn t super open to coming to a new school but the vibe is super chill and everyone is nice. Coming to this has really changed my perspective and has opened new doors of opportunities for me."

"Its project based learning. They treat the high school students like adults or close to and overall my experience has been possitive"

"High Tech High Media Arts offers not only a beautiful campus, but a diverse community. Attending a school where the students come different neighborhoods, is refreshing and eye opening to see the different lifestyles and backgrounds each student comes from. Being a project based school, most our time is spent in the community. We work in groups to create projects that not only help further our education but help us to be a part in making our community better. I've had the chance to do internships, conduct interviews, start business, sell art and much more. This has helped me get jobs and feel prepared for college. Every teacher invests as much time as they can to get to know each student as an individual. The relationships between staff and student are both professional and personal. They help us in our journey to grow and be ready for college. I've had the chance to have staff help me with personal problems as well as excellent one on one counseling for college."

"My experience at High Tech High Media Arts has been both a godsend and a learning experience. I have been challenged emotionally through friendships, peer relations, and through people that just didn't like me. I always had a teacher to confide in and I am very thankful for that. The teachers are the best part, as I grew very close with a number of them that I will forever remember. The education has been lackluster, but since moving into the upper division, I have been challenged greatly. I am taking honors and though there is a large quantity of work, my brain is buzzing with new knowledge. I love that they offer free college classes through the local community college and even have the classes within our school campus. HTHMA has given me so many life experiences that I will use for the rest of my life, more than content in a textbook (which we don't have). I have learned to collaborate, gained public speaking skills, and how to be professional."

"High Tech High Media Arts is a very small school, only 100 students in each grade. That makes up for a pretty tight knit school. Teachers are known by first name basis and are always there for students to consult in if they needed to. Group work is highly encouraged as to prepare for college and real work environment."
