"I would like to see a change in diversity at Scripps Ranch high school. I would seriously be the only black girl in a classroom. I would get weird looks from everybody . It made me feel so anxious, it was very difficult for me to find a friend and I still can t find one at that school. So maybe if Scripps Ranch high school was more diverse, I would ve had a better high school experience ."

"Really prepares students for college and makes sure they are academically advanced. Typical student culture with very little economical diversity. But overall a positive experience"

"The school has an exceptional JROTC unit, however, besides the school s academic rigor, JROTC seems to be one of the only things that support SRHS s reputation."

"Overall, Scripps Ranch High School has prepared me for college. The majority of teachers are devoted to their students and what them to succeed. The academics at the school are great, while other areas such as school spirit, the administration, and sports are lacking. The SRHS administration has not been very helpful. When you go to them for help, they do not make you a priority. You have to demand their support which takes time. The sports at SRHS are average. While we have a great field hockey team and girls volleyball programs, the football team and basketball teams have not performed well. The school is very safe, and the facilities are nice. Overall, my experiences at Scripps Ranch High School have been positive."

"SRHS definitely prepares students for university and higher education. The academics are very rigorous and competitive; I was accepted into almost every university I applied to and I now attend Georgetown University, which is sometimes easier than SRHS was! SRHS is a very academically high performing school; we get high test grades but there is a massive stress culture and competition. I had many sleepless nights or all nighters because the homework is demanding and difficult, but the students are pushed and well educated as a result. SRHS has many resources and facilities to set the students up for success, it is a fairly high income school, but the demanding teachers and administration can seem not to care most of the time, about student welfare or stress. In this large public school, I definitely felt like I had to do a lot on my own with no help from faculty, which makes university a breeze. In summary, the kids are not very happy, but they become VERY smart."
