"I have been in this high school for all my years. There are many things that make me like shafter high. The teachers are very respectful and when you are new the students are very helpful to show around the school. I would like to see a change at the school. I would like to see better facilities overall."

"Shafter High School gives students so many opportunities to get involved. It is in a small town so everyone knows each other and it makes the school environment much more fun."

"Shafter High School is an amazing school, I enjoyed going to this school. There is so much school spirit and different clubs, activities, or sports that people could participate in. The school is clean and safe, we have access to resources such as books, computers, chrome books, calculators, AP classes and more. However, I believe that we are not being prepared for college/universities. The food is also not as healthy and there are a few choices. This school has provided many opportunities to students who didn't believe that they were going to go to college or succeed, but they did. This school helps its students so they could get more out of life and prosper because they care."

"Shafter High was a great school with so much potential. The students form a family bond with their peers. I do believe, though, that some of the staff should be friendlier or more caring about their students. Most of the staff does show this, but there are a lot of members who simply show no care or empathy. The school has so much potential in being school spirited but there's something it lacks. I believe all the programs were great and they help as much as they can. One thing I also noticed is that they put way too much focus on the football team. The girl's tennis team, for example, made it to the 2nd round of playoffs this last season and nobody really knew. The tennis courts are uneven, the nets are torn up, and we have to buy our own equipment. Whereas, football players get everything bought for them and replaced instantly."
