"My experience at Highland High School has overall not been too exciting. The academics are not very outstanding and it would be nice if some teachers cared more for their students. I liked that Highland is a little more diverse than other schools. I met a few nice friends but other than that my high school experience has not been memorable."

"Highland is a very diverse place filled with various caring staff members. It was a great place to grow. However, it is easy to stumble upon teachers who clearly couldn't care less if you learn from them."

"At first, I though Highland was a school that would prepared you for your local community college or a four year university, but I guess not. I wish the school could have taught me more on college essay-written formats, college vocabulary (such as: audit, double major, education plan, etc.), and time-management but they focus more on getting us there instead of preparing us. The teacher are somewhat decent but the administration are a bit dodgy and unreliable. Their choice on community college (Antelope Valley College) insisted us going wasn't a smart move since they expected their incoming freshman to know the college life by heart. I would say their resource aren't useful but whether wasted their resource that won't benefit other. Highly recommend going to different school other than Highland if you value education over wasted time."

"This is a mostly outdoor campus. There are no inside hallways and no lockers, like in the movies. (Except for P.E. lockers.) The campus isn't that clean and the school food is not good. There are poor sports facilities, however the sports programs themselves are exceptional. The teachers are nice and care about their students and the AP program is very good. The library was recently re-done and is quite nice. Administration can be hard to deal with sometimes but is overall effective. The students that go here can be a little ghetto sometimes but it is easy to also find students that are ambitious and respectful individuals."

"Highland would be nice if people actually cared about going to school, and the teachers and staff actually cared about their jobs."
