"Although I only attended this school for 2 years I would say that I had a great experiences. My favorite part about this school is the wide range of electives available to students!! You get to explore your interests by trying different classes ranging from medical terminology to dance! Also there are lots of great sports teams to join! I would definitely recommend this school!"

"Deer Valley High School is a great school, even though we have a bit of reputation. This doesn't define us. Our diversity and community is what makes us Deer Valley. Not what other people say about us. I couldn't imagine being happy at any other high school. You can't spell diversity without DV!"

"My experience at Deer Valley was pleasant. I never had any issues with handling the school work. The teachers were mostly pleasant. The school was kept clean. I did wish that they promoted some of the on campus programs more- such as the music program, art classes or the drama department. Sports are nice- but It would have been great to see a little more support and coverage of the arts."

"I went to Deer Valley for 3 out of the 4 years of high school. Although the teachers really did care about the students, the kids were horrible. There were two prominent groups involved in gangs and they were everything you associate the word gangs with. Kids were being sold drugs, girls were being attacked, people were being jumped or sometimes even stabbed. The two groups brought heroin around and I cannot tell you the amount of kids that I have gone to school with since first grade that are now in a recovery program or dead because of this nasty addiction. The craziest part is we live in a well off part of town. The teachers were aware of it as well as the principal but nothing has still been done. I cannot imagine what it is like now since graduated in 2009. I am honestly scared of where my son should go to school now since being a parent I do not truly know the real story of what goes on at a school."

"Deer Valley likes to represent themselves as a nice school, but in reality they aren't the greatest. They have many places that need improvement in order to benefit their students and make the school a better place."
