"Tamiscal is an independent study high school. The school contains many helpful resources for students who want to attend college. The school benefits those who have schedule conflicts either due to sports or personal life. The administration is helpful and friendly. General classes such as science and mathematics are divided into small group situations. The "core" classes are worked on independently and you meet with your instructor once a week to review all material and classwork. The homework load is a lot, but it basically determines your attendance and grades. You will learn at your own pace and the curriculum requires a lot of self-responsibility."

"It's an independent study high school. By attending this school I was able to learn about myself; find myself. This school worked with me to help me get an education while dealing with my panic attacks and social anxiety."

"It is a great opportunity for kids who are not into high school. I can do school work and also focus on getting a job, and extra curricular activities."
