"It is an amazing school. It gives you opportunities normal schools on Maui wouldn't really give you. Of course, it has its flaws such as location and organization, but it is able to create bright and promising students."

"When I first started at Kihei Charter, I wasn't really interested in being there; I wanted to go to a different school. But through time, I found to really like the able to be in unstructured environment where my creativity as a student could be expressed. I was able to challege myself and push myself to excel in a place where I could embrace being an self-independent student. It was really like teaching myself and directing myself in the direction I want to go with my academics. It took me time to adjust to the school, but overall I wouldn't have changed the experience."

"Kihei Charter is a school that looks great from the outside, but really stinks on the inside, literally. They do a great job at persuading the outside world that they are a good school, but it's a different story from the student's perspective. It's a gross, unclean learning environment, where no real learning takes place at all. The only good thing about the school is how they allow you to take college classes as early as your junior year. I'm glad I did that because now I don't have to suffer at the high school campus, I just go to college instead. Kihei Charter needs a serious revamp in every single category listed here."
